Overview of options

With the Financial Planner you can quickly get an overview of your financial situation, create budgets for yourself, obtain control over your expenses and make better use of your money. The Financial Planner automatically finds the right data from your transactions and organises them into expense and income groups. This enables you to get a great overview of your transactions by selected periods.

Get your money matters under control!

The overview of finances page brings out most important results of the Financial Planner analysis. All overviews are based on the period you have chosen. By default, the current month has been selected.

  • A graphic overview of transactions enables you to better understand which expense groups your expenses are divided into. If you move the cursor on the expense group expenses in the chosen period are displayed. You can see the graphic overview from the sub-group division by clicking on the expense group. The second graphic overview shows how your expenses and income have changed over time.
  • Ungrouped transactions block displays the transactions that require your attention. You should group all transactions in order to get the best overview of your finances. Here you can see five transactions that need to be grouped. By clicking on an ungrouped transaction, you can specify the expense group or rule, which is used for grouping similar transactions in the future.
  • The division of my income and expenses displays the total amount of the income and expenses of the chosen period, as well as your account statement, reservations and available resources.
  • The five last transactions made in the period chosen are displayed under last transactions of the period. The link “View all transactions” enables you to move to the transactions page in order to analyse all transactions.
  • Budget overview displays five budgets with the biggest expenses in the expense group for which you have set a limit. You can also view how many budgets have exceeded the limit, are approaching the limit or how many budgets have no transactions in that period.
  • The expense groups with the biggest expenses within sub-groups can be viewed in the TOP expenses division. The groups with the largest sums and number of transaction are displayed here.
  • If any of your budgets have exceeded the limit or is approaching the limit, notices are displayed about these budgets on the opening page of the Financial Planner.

Recommendations for use

The Financial Planner will give you a better overview of your finances if you follow a few simple rules:

Always group all your transactions. The bank will automatically group most of your transactions, but there are transactions that the program cannot organise into any groups.

Divide the transactions into several parts if you need to. People often buy various goods from large supermarkets. If the bank has specified food as the expense group, but you actually bought clothes or consumer goods with the same transaction, you can divide the transaction into several parts and specify each part’s correct expense group.

Specify budgets. You can set a separate limit for each expense group and the Financial Planner will warn you at the overview page if you are approaching the limit or have exceeded it. Try to stay within the budget and adjust its limit if necessary. You can also specify budgets for smaller sub-groups.

Visit the Financial Planner page regularly. At each visit check from the overview page whether you have ungrouped or incorrectly grouped transactions and correct them. Observe the use of the budgets and analyse your expenses and income. Occasionally do it for a longer period.
