Sustainability

Investing with sustainability in mind helps protect your savings from future risks, while also contributing to a positive impact on the world. By focusing on responsible investments, you’re not only securing your future but also helping create a better one for the next generation.

Sustainability risks, such as climate change, regulatory shifts, and violating social norms, can significantly affect the financial performance of companies. For example:

  • Businesses reliant on fossil fuels may lose market value as clean energy becomes dominant.
  • Companies with weak social practices might face legal penalties or reputational damage.
  • Companies aligned with green technologies and renewable energy not only mitigate these risks but also present long-term growth opportunities, positioning your investments for resilience and higher returns.

Investments in companies with higher environmental, social and governance (ESG) scores provide better long-term returns than those with lower ratings.

Your investments will be directed toward funds that include environmental, social and governance factors, such as:

  • Promoting investment in companies that contribute to the UN Sustainable Development Goals
  • Promote long-term reductions in greenhouse gas emissions;
  • Minimising exposure to companies active in the fossil fuel sector;
  • Reducing exposure to companies that violate international norms and ethical standards, including issues related to controversial weapons and human rights.

The ESG risk of underlying companies is maintained at or below ’medium’ rating by considering all investments made within the product.

All management companies of funds invested in must have signed the UN Principles for Responsible Investments.
