You need to make an international payment,
but you have never made one before?

Please answer a couple of questions and we will advise you about the type of payment that is the most suitable for you.

NB! This tool can help you only if you want to make your payment in euros.

Who pays the transfer charges

  • The most common way of splitting service charges. You pay the service charges of Swedbank and the payee pays the service charges of the correspondent bank and their own bank. If You are making a payment to European country then we recommend to choose service fee type 'shared' (SHA) as according to Payment Service Directive (2007/64/EC) the arrival of payments in full amount at beneficiary's bank is guaranteed as long as the beneficiary's bank is located in the European Economic Area and the payment currency is the euro or another currency of a Member State of EU.

In order to avoid confusion, always agree in the payment of service charges with the payee before you make the payment.

What kind of payment do you wish to make?

  • The payment is received in the correspondent bank or the payee’s bank the next day if you submit the payment order to the bank before 3 pm.
