Additional transaction fee for international payment to high-risk country
Payments to high-risk countries are subject to an additional transaction fee. This fee will be added to the
standard payment fee and charged as a single amount. High-risk countries are considered to be high-risk countries
on the European Union list of high-risk third countries (EU HRTC) and the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) lists
as high-risk or monitored countries. In addition, countries that are subject to financial and trade sanctions, as
well as countries with a high risk of circumvention, are considered as such. A full list of countries can be found
here. The list is
subject to change over time and is updated in line with changes in the country risks of the European Union and the FATF.
