Smart ID is the most convenient solution for accessing the Internet Bank and the Mobile Bank. It is both secure and free of charge.

Adopting

  1. Download the Smart ID app.
  2. Create PIN 1 and PIN 2.
  3. Confirm registration with your ID card of Mobile ID.

Get Smart ID

NB! You can also get Smart ID at any of our branches – be sure to have ID card or passport. If you would like to get Smart-ID for your child, visit a branch with your child and remember to bring with your child’s smartphone and additionally yours and child’s ID-cards or passports.

To use this service you will need a smartphone or tablet with the downloaded Smart ID app. Internet access is required as well. The Smart ID app’s technical specifications are available on the Smart ID website.

How does it work?

You can access Swedbank internet bank and app more conveniently by using your biometric data – you won’t have to memorize or type any passwords or PIN codes! Biometric data is the most unique data to identify you and authenticate your actions in digital banking environment.

Remember! In order to use your biometric data (fingerprint or face recognition), you need to enable biometric usage in your smart device settings. Your device must have a fingerprint or face recognition sensor.

What can you do with it?

By using your fingerprint or face recognition you can:

  • Securely log into your Swedbank app and internet bank
  • View your account balance instantly and conveniently
  • Confirm payments in internet bank and app (up to 100 euros 10 times in a row)
  • Manage your cards (block & unblock them, change their limits)
  • Repay used credit card limit
  • By using app menu section “Services” you can access internet bank without additional login.

PIN is an easy way how to log in and confirm payments in our app and in internet bank.

Why should I use it?

  • It’s easy – when logging in or confirming a payment, just enter your PIN code and that’s it. Also, you can choose the length of the PIN yourself from 5 to 8 digits.
  • Secure – the PIN code is not stored on your phone and only you know it. Furthermore, this PIN can be used only on your phone.
  • Versatile – you can use the PIN to log in, confirm payments up to 100 € in the app and in internet bank.
  • A good backup – it’s good to have at least 2 means to log in and confirm payments, just in case.

How to get it?

  1. Log in to the app with your current method.
  2. Tap on your initials to go to the settings.
  3. Scroll and open “Login methods”.
  4. Tap on the “App PIN code” to enable it.
  5. Set up your PIN code and that’s it.

Tip: if you forget your PIN, just follow the same steps to create a new one.

Mobile ID is a secure way of accessing the Internet Bank and the Mobile Bank. This solution also allows you to digitally sign documents.

Adopting

  1. Contact your mobile network operator to get a special SIM.
  2. Mobile ID must be activated with the ID card on the following website: politsei.ee.

To use the service you will need a mobile phone with that special SIM inserted and network coverage.

Use your ID card to securely access the Internet Bank and digitally sign documents. In addition to this we advise you to obtain Smart ID or another authentication solution to ensure that you can access the Mobile Bank and confirm your identity when calling our consultation centre.

Adopting

  1. ID cards are issued by the Police and Border Guard Board.
  2. Passwords are issued for electronic usage.

You will need your ID card with those passwords and an ID card reader. The corresponding ID card software must be installed on your computer.

Who can receive a PIN calculator?

A PIN calculator is available to customers with a valid Teleservices Agreement.

How can I order a PIN calculator?

Contact us by phone or send us a bank message in the Internet Bank or call us at 6 310 310. To order a PIN calculator, you will need to fill in an order form.

How can I sign documents to receive a PIN calculator?

  • In the Internet Bank, you can sign the documents with Smart-ID, Mobile-ID, ID card, digital ID, or an existing PIN calculator (as a means of authentication)
  • In paper form, you may sign the documents at a notary. Send us the notarised documents by mail at Swedbank AS, Liivalaia 8, 15040 Tallinn, Estonia

Where and how do we deliver PIN calculators?

We deliver PIN calculators by courier only. It can be delivered to Latvia, Lithuania, and Estonia, as well as abroad (inside and outside the EU). Due to restrictions to certain countries, a PIN calculator may not be delivered to all locations.

Which fees apply to the delivery of a PIN calculator?

  • The fee for the selected PIN calculator model
  • PIN calculator delivery costs (by courier to the requested address)
  • If you choose to sign documents on paper, you must cover the costs of the notary of your choice (see the instructions on how to sign the documents before a notary here).

Which fees apply to a corporate customer?

A corporate customer is required to confirm that they will cover the cost of issuing and delivering the PIN calculator. You may send us the confirmation in the Internet Bank as a bank message, specifying the user, as well as the account from which the applicable fees are to be debited.

How to pay for the delivery of a PIN calculator?

You will be charged for the PIN calculator fee and the courier delivery fee. Please make sure there are sufficient funds in the account. The PIN calculator will be delivered after the fees are debited.

How quickly will the PIN calculator be delivered?

The delivery time depends on the country to which it will be shipped. Once we have prepared your calculator shipment, we will send you a text message with the courier's tracking number.

When will the PIN calculator be activated?

The PIN calculator will be activated after you have signed the relevant documents. We will send you a text message that the PIN calculator is active, and you can start using it.

What to do in emergencies?

If you've lost your card or any data used in your Authentication tools or if you suspect that they‘re disclosed to other people, immediately call us at any time of the day or night. We will block your card or access to Internet Bank account immediately and no one else will be able to access money in your bank accounts.
