Google Pay™

1. Open Swedbank app and go to “Cards” section.
2. Choose the card you want to add to Google Pay feature and click on its picture. Then you’ll see the “Add to G Pay” button appear below.
3. Make sure contactless payments are allowed and enabled for your card. Also, your phone number needs to be verified – you can check it under your contact details in Internet Bank.
4. Then tap the “Add to G Pay” button below your card. If for some reason you don’t see this button, then you might need to update your app. You can check if you have „Update“ button in Google Play store. Another option is to delete and reinstall the app.
5. For it to fully enable, set Google Pay as your default mobile contactless payments app in Swedbank app or your device settings.
6. That’s it! Now you can just blip and go!

Important to know!

Adding a card to Google Pay does not disable Swedbank own mobile contactless payments feature. But with Google Pay set as default, you still can use Swedbank app to pay by phone manually (by tapping on “Pay with this Card”).

1. Install Google Pay. Open the app, then tap on “Add a card or payment method“.
2. Choose “Debit or credit card“.
3. Read and accept terms and conditions.
4. Tap on “Continue“ to receive a confirmation SMS. Your phone number must be verified and linked to your internet bank, under “Contact information“.
5. Input the control code from SMS and your card will be added (when your card is successfully added, it will we shown on the first screen in Google Pay app).
6. Make Google Pay your default payment app if you wish to pay with Google Pay by default.

Card user can add additional cards to Google Pay. The only requirement is to have a verified phone number which is linked to your internet bank.

You can pay with Google Pay anywhere you see the contactless or Google Pay symbols. To make contactless payments, turn on NFC in the smartphone settings.

1. Unlock your smartphone.
2. To pay, hold your smartphone close to the card terminal.

Card payment limits apply.

For payment with another card added to Google Pay: open Google Pay App, select card (by swiping cards to the left or right) and tap POS terminal.

Only one card can be set as the default card. If you want to use a different card as a default, you can change it in the Swedbank app under "Cards".

Google Pay is available for Android devices using operating system Android 5.0 or above.

Use GoogePay in watches that are using at least Watch OS 3.

Remember! To use Google Pay, you need to have an active Swedbank Mastercard card with enabled contactless payments (enable/disable in Internet Bank or the Swedbank app).

Google Pay is a secure payment method, because your card data won’t be stored on device or at service providers. Instead payment confirmation is based on number related to your phone and unique code generated for payment. So, when paying your actual card information is not used at all. For that reason, you can use Google Pay stress-free and know your card information is always protected.
