Frequency of interbank payments has been changed in Estonia

Starting from 1 of February 2014, payments are transferred via a new trans-European payments system. Payments will be transferred from Swedbank five times a day – at 03:00, 10:00, 12:30, 15:00 and 17:00. If a payment or payments file reaches the bank via the Corporate Internet Bank or Swedbank Gateway at least 45 minutes before these times, the payment will be transferred to the receiver bank at given times. The only exception here is the night time transfer time at 03:00 – payment or payments file has to be reached the bank by 00:30 the latest.

Payments made at weekends and ECB public holidays will be transferred on the following working day at 10:00.
Intrabank payments frequency remains the same – money will be transferred from the payer to the payee at least within an hour at any day of the week.
