To enable a seamless yet secure experience you must have secure screen lock enabled to perform mobile contactless payments using the Swedbank Eestis mobile app.

While there are certain security features built into our mobile app and mobile contactless payments have been developed on the basis of the industry standards, in order to ensure the safe use of your mobile device, you as the owner need to follow some basic cyber rules:

  • Enable mobile contactless payments only on your own device. Do not share your mobile device.
  • Do not use a weak password or a weak pattern for your screen lock.
  • Update the software on your mobile device regularly. Have an anti-virus app installed.
  • Use official app stores only. Even if you do use official app stores, stay vigilant. Read reviews and feedback about the app you want to download before installing it.
  • If you lose your device or it is stolen, disable Swedbank services on the device via the Internet Bank or by calling 6 132 222.
  • Disabling contactless payments for a card also disables mobile contactless payments for the corresponding card.
  • When a card expires, mobile contactless payments for the card are also disabled. You will need to enable mobile contactless payments for a renewed card.
  • If your device’s screen lock settings change, the app may disable mobile contactless payments on the device and request that you log in to re-enable mobile contactless payments.
